About the Job
The Site Engagement Clinician will be responsible for recruitment, follow-up, retention and monitoring of study participants in accordance with the ICH GCP standards, local ethical and regulatory approval requirements, and the study protocols and SOPs for the Ndovu Study.
Responsibilities
Conduct participant recruitment, screening, and enrollment in accordance with study protocols.
Obtain informed consent from study participants, ensuring full understanding of the study procedures and risks.
Perform clinical assessments and collect study data accurately and completely.
Ensure participant follow-up and retention throughout the study period.
Monitor participants for adverse events and report them promptly as per protocol and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and organized study documentation and source records.
Provide health education and counseling to study participants as needed.
Collaborate with the study team to ensure smooth study operations and participant flow.
Adhere to ICH GCP guidelines, ethical standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
Participate in site meetings and training sessions.
Ensure confidentiality and privacy of participant information.
Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution.
Registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
At least two (2) years of clinical experience, with demonstrated experience in patient care and counseling.
Experience in clinical research or working with HIV/AIDS programs will be an added advantage.
Certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in intermediate IT skills.
