This role involves ensuring mails are dispatched and registers maintained, ensuring security of files and documents, redressing of files, and ensuring proper handling of documents.
Responsibilities
Ensuring mails are dispatched and register maintained
Ensuring Security of files and documents
Redressing of files
Ensuring proper handling of documents
Bringing-up pending correspondence
Maintaining Record Information System
Implementing policies and procedures on records management
Implementing disposal schedules and disposing closed files in accordance with relevant Government regulations
Requirements
Cumulative service period of six (6) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which should be in the grade of Records Management Assistant I, or in a comparable position
Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Records Management, Information Management, Information Science, Archives and Records Management or equivalent qualification from accredited examination body
Higher National Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Records Management, Information Management, Information Science, Archives and Records Management or equivalent qualification from accredited examination body
Proficiency in computer applications
Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
