About the Job

Kenyatta University is seeking a Security Officer to protect university properties and investigate security incidents.

Responsibilities

Protect university properties against loss and damage.
Report security incidences and emergencies to the senior security officer, investigation.
Respond to safety, emergency and enforcement alerts.
Investigate and document security breaches and incidents.
Respond to security incidents, investigating violations and contributing to disciplinary or legal actions as necessary.
Participate in carrying out intelligence gathering and investigations as directed by supervisor.
Maintain an up-to-date record of security incidents and trends.
Ensure high level of customer services to all clients.
Perform any other relevant duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director of Security Services from time to time.

Requirements

Diploma in Criminology or Security-related field from a recognized and accredited institution.
Minimum KCSE C – Minus or equivalent.
Minimum five (5) years’ cumulative relevant work experience.
Have a clean record of discharge from any of the disciplined forces/services.
Valid Police Clearance Certificate.
Proficiency in Crime/Investigation Management.
Knowledge in Cyber Security.
Computer literate.
