About the Job

The Judicial Service Commission is established under Article 171 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, with a mandate of promoting and facilitating the independence and accountability of the Judiciary, and the efficient, effective and transparent Administration of Justice. The job holder is required to preside over a Small Claims Court in any part of the Republic Kenya. The job holder will be responsible to the designated Registrar of the Small Claims Court or Head of Station where deployed.

Preside over a Small Claims Court in any part of the Republic Kenya.

Requirements

A Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree or its equivalent from a recognized University.
Be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law or an exemption by the Council of Legal Education or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
High attention to detail.
Proficiency in Computer applications.
Excellent Conceptual & Analytical Skills.
Interpersonal Skills.
Oral & Written Communication Skills.
Research Skills.
Sound independent judgment.
Report Writing Skills.
