About the Job

The Public Service Internship – Digital Literacy Programme is an initiative by the State Department for Basic Education to provide temporary work opportunities and support the Digital Literacy Programme.

Responsibilities

Support E-Learning and content development in line with schemes of work.
Provide classroom support and training of school teachers in the use of digital literacy devices.
Support implementation of the Digital Literacy Programme.
Carry out innovations to enable schools to improve on the use of digital learning.
Provide support in the safe, secure, and ethical use of technology in learning.
Assist teachers by integrating ICT in the delivery of teaching, learning, and assessment.
Support school staff with the development and production of key school policies and procedures.
Provide first-line support and maintenance of ICT services in the schools.

Requirements

Graduated not earlier than 2020.
In possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Education with specialization in Information Communication Technology or a Bachelor’s degree in ICT from a recognized institution or its equivalent OR a Diploma in ICT or ICT Integration in Education or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Knowledge in networking and infrastructure, applications development, information security, and project management.
Ability to integrate ICT with Education in terms of E-Learning and content development.
Requisite skills to carry out research and innovation to support the Digital Literacy Programme.
Willingness to be deployed to a Sub-County Education Office on a full-time basis.
