About the Job

Primarily responsible for asset inventory and the management of daily procurement activities from request to delivery of goods, works, and services. Provides assistance in developing solicitations, advising staff, interpreting regulations, developing bid documents, conducting pre-bid conferences, reviewing/approving RFPs, soliciting proposals, negotiating/awarding contracts, tracking reports, and initiating changes in QuickBooks. The role supports “Viya” (likely employer) in making an impact in the lives of women.

Responsibilities

Assist in supplier/contractor selection, draft service level agreements, work with internal stakeholders on needs/quality/delivery, order placement/supply alignment/replenishment/performance, monitor/evaluate/improve supplier performance, control/monitor expenses, develop sourcing strategies, cost saving budgeting/targeting, set supplier accreditation/service level management, payment terms negotiation/optimization/management, maintain vendor contracts, review/update inventory, receive/initiate/track orders, receive/inspect/distribute orders, reconcile discrepancies, monitor delivery times, maintain supplier relationships/renegotiate prices, coordinate overseas orders, bar code assets/update register, annual asset stock take, ensure timely payment submission, administration/reporting, make/purchase policy analysis/recommendations, lease/purchase policy evaluation/recommendation.

Requirements

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, or a related field. Professional Experience: Experience in coordinating Supply Chain and Procurement functions, Minimum of 5 years of experience. Service Management: Familiarity with outsourced service management. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in relevant financial software and tools, Experience with QuickBooks Enterprise Edition or similar ERP system highly desirable. Certification: Certification in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent highly desirable, Licensed/Registered Pharmacist highly desirable.
