About the Job

The Catholic Diocese of Malindi is seeking a Pastoral Centre Administrator. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Pastoral Centre and providing leadership to work teams and individual contributors.

Responsibilities

Ensuring for and improving on the customer experience of clients and stakeholders.
Create and maintain a healthy relationship with staff and so assuring for harmonized workplace.
Oversee catering operations, menu planning, and event hosting, ensuring that all services are delivered on time and to the satisfaction of clients.
Develop and manage the center’s budget, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance without compromising service quality.
Supervise, train, and motivate the Pastoral Center staff, ensuring that they deliver excellent service and follow best practices in hospitality, catering, and event management.
Ensure that the Pastoral Center facilities are well maintained, clean, and ready for all types of events and services, including conferences, meetings, and retreats.
Promote the Pastoral Center’s services, attract new clients, and develop partnerships with other diocesan and external organizations to increase bookings and revenue.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards, and provide regular reports to pastoral leadership on operational performance.

Requirements

At least a diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in hospitality, catering, event management, or operations management, with a proven track record in managing conference or catering facilities.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage budgets, staff, and client relationships effectively.
Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of catering and hospitality industry standards is essential.
