About the Job

The Medical Laboratory Officer position is a permanent and pensionable role with allowances as per SRC guidelines, offered by the County Government of Machakos.

Responsibilities

Receiving and scrutinizing laboratory requisition forms and specimen
Preparing clients for collection of specimens
Receiving, collecting, labelling and registering patient’s specimens
Preparing laboratory reagents
Examining specimens
Writing and recording results
Preparing stains and reagents
Recruiting and preparing and bleeding of blood donors for transfusion services

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Services or any other equivalent qualification from institution recognized by Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board
Registration Certificate issued by Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB)
Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist Board
Certificate in Computer application
