About the Job

This is an entry and training grade for this cadre within the State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. 83

Responsibilities

Preparing import/export documents for estimate cost and declaration. 84
Presenting imports/export documents to freight companies for endorsement, issuance of delivery orders and release. 85
Following up delivery orders and release. 86
Following up exemption and waiver approvals. 87
Organizing for the physical verification of the cargo with the parties concerned. 88
Of gates pass and issuance of waybill. 89
Processing of cargo claims and compensation. 90

Requirements

Must have a Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Economics or Business Administration/Management from a university recognized in Kenya. 91
