About the Job

This is an entry and training grade position within The National Treasury. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. 22

Responsibilities

Analyzing macroeconomic, revenue, exchequer and expenditure data for development and review of macroeconomic and fiscal policies. 23
Evaluating applications for remission of taxes under fiscal incentive schemes. 24
Updating databases for the users of the fiscal incentives schemes. 25
Evaluating tax exemption requests. 26
Monitoring and forecasting revenue and expenditure. 27
Monitoring implementation of macroeconomic reforms. 28
Preparing monthly budget outturn. 29
Maintaining and updating macroeconomic and fiscal database. 30
Monitoring the Government balance sheet of the Central Bank. 31

Requirements

Must have a Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Economics and Statistics, Economics and Mathematics, Economics and Finance, Actuarial Science or any other equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya. 32
