About the Job

The Catholic Diocese of Malindi is looking for a Driver II to provide efficient support for logistics and transport activities, ensuring efficient utilization of resources. The role requires strict adherence to traffic regulations and safety standards, and maintaining the vehicle in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

Perform daily inspections on all assigned vehicles, at the beginning of each working day.
Ascertain that all vehicles are properly cleaned and maintained, and that any need for repairs is outlined and reported.
Obtain work orders for transporting staff members or items to different locations, and ensure that they are carried out properly.
Assist passengers in embarking and disembarking to and from vehicles, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Prepare and map out routes to destinations, ensuring that timelines are met.
Transport people to their destinations, or handle office pick up duties, and deliver parcels.
Perform both preventative and regular maintenance on assigned vehicles, and ensure that proper detailing is performed.
Facilitating proper procurement and detailing of vehicle spare parts and tools.
Ensuring up to date vehicle regulatory adherence and compliance with regard to insurance and registration.

Requirements

A minimum of C- in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
At least a craftsman or artisan certificate in a motor vehicle related course.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must possess an NTSA PSV, ABCE – Class driving license for more than two years.
A recent certificate of good conduct.
A minimum of three years’ accident free driving experience.
Working knowledge of first aid procedures and excellent communication skills.
Having undergone relevant drivers training in the past two years.
Proven experience in briquette production and manufacturing.
