About the Job

The Core Banking Applications Developer will support the business objectives by utilizing effective IT practices and modern technologies, adhering to policies and procedures. The role requires functional and technical expertise in the Finacle core system to ensure system availability, continuity, confidentiality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Finacle Core banking scripting, Java programming, JavaScript scripting, customization, and enhancements.
Provide Level 2 (L2) technical & functional and administration support for applications, ensuring business expectation compliance.
Development of new inbound and outbound APIs for various Finacle components.
Finacle Report development using Reporting Infrastructure and Maha Reports.
Carry out troubleshooting, installation, configurations, script correction, guidance, escalations, coordination with vendors and end-user training.
Implement and maintain systems for monitoring/audit of functionalities.
Develop and update technical procedures, release notes/deployment architectures, and desktop instruction documents.
Implement changes and deploy patches based on approved Change / Configuration Management processes.
Provide required support for the rollout of new functionalities, products, processes, and mandates.
Provide regular status updates.
Adhere to incident, problem, and change management processes.
Support business in executing UATs.
Support the execution of design, planning, and implementation of bank projects.
Ensure security of data and information within the Applications Systems.
Support business continuity management activities.
Training of the application to relevant support teams.
Demonstrate sound technical judgment and communication skills.
Maintain the Culture Brand and customer service.
Contribute to business growth and sales.

Requirements

Essential Knowledge: Proficiency in Finacle core banking system, BFSI knowledge, Relational Database knowledge (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL), Programming knowledge (Java, JavaScript), Integration experience (ISO8583, SOAP, JSON), Unix scripting.
Key Critical Competencies: Enterprise IT skills, excellent communication skills, adaptability, teamwork, customer handling skills, ability to work under pressure and multitask, flexibility for 24×7 environment, analytical/troubleshooting/problem-solving skills, understanding of organizational culture, banking processes, technologies, and best practices.
Understanding of platforms: UNIX/Linux/MS Windows Server, Programming Languages (Java, Js, C++, JavaScript, XML), Scripting languages (including Unix), Oracle, SQL, PL-SQL, Web Technologies (J2EE, IIS, Weblogic, Apache), Banking, Financial sector, and Insurance domain knowledge.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent. System administration skills and/or certifications, Database Management skills, Middleware/webserver skills, Programming skills and related certifications, Project management, BFSI domain knowledge.
