About the Job
The County Public Service Board of Nyandarua is recruiting a competent and qualified candidate for the position of Chief Officer, Partnership, Diaspora & Resource Mobilization. The terms of employment are contractual, and remuneration will be guided by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) from time to time.
Responsibilities
Oversee the smooth running of the Directorate of Partnership, Diaspora & Resource Mobilization.
Build and maintain strong relationships with national governments, private sector organizations, multi-lateral and inter-governmental bodies, and financial institutions.
Develop and implement strategic partnerships to achieve organizational objectives.
Represent the organization at high-level meetings and events.
Develop and implement comprehensive resource mobilization strategies to secure funding from diverse sources.
Manage and report on key income streams, ensuring donor confidence.
Monitor trends in development cooperation and aid, and adapt strategies accordingly.
Prepare proposals and coordinate multidisciplinary teams for fundraising efforts.
Explore and implement innovative funding models.
Engage with diaspora communities, identifying opportunities for collaboration and resource mobilization.
Develop strategies to leverage diaspora skills and resources to support organizational goals.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between the organization and the diaspora.
Lead and supervise a team of professionals in partnerships, resource mobilization, and diaspora affairs.
Develop and implement strategic plans and budgets for partnerships and resource mobilization.
Report to senior management on the progress and impact of partnerships and resource mobilization efforts.
Ensure alignment between partnership and resource mobilization efforts with the organization’s overall strategic goals.
Monitor donor policies and practices, and advise on recommended actions to influence them.
Undertake special projects and technical tasks aligned with organizational goals.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of global development issues, trends, and best practices in the INGO sector.
Ensure effective internal communications and collaboration.
Possess experience with Donor funding mechanisms, knowledge of specific regional development dynamics, and understanding of global development issues and trends.
Requirements
Kenyan citizenship.
A relevant Bachelor’s degree recognized in Kenya.
A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Be a strategic thinker and results-oriented.
Be a member of a Professional Body in the discipline.
Proven experience of at least ten (10) years of service from a reputable organization, with at least five (5) years in a senior management position.
Computer literacy.
