This is an entry and training grade for this cadre within the State Department for Irrigation. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. 147

Responsibilities

Identifying community needs. 148
Collecting data and information on degraded land. 149
Identifying community resources, their source, management and utilization. 150
Assisting communities in preparing and implementing work plans. 151

Requirements

Must have a Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Range Management, Water Resource Management, Irrigation, Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental Resource Management, Earth Science, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Water Engineering, Civil Engineering or Community Development from a University recognized in Kenya. 152
