About the Job

CarlCare is looking for a dynamic and creative Local Social Media Operations Specialist in Nairobi, Kenya. The role involves content creation, community engagement, and driving digital growth for Tecno Mobile’s brand in the Kenyan and Nigerian markets. The salary range is Ksh 50,000 – 70,000. The successful candidate will work closely with the global team.

Responsibilities

• Produce and edit local content (videos, photos, live streams) aligned with Tecno Mobile’s brand and global strategy.
• Plan and publish content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, etc., with sensitivity to local cultures, languages, and trending topics.
• Ensure regular updates and maintain the professionalism of all official social media accounts.
• Monitor comments and DMs; engage with users promptly and professionally to maintain a positive brand image.
• Implement localized campaigns (e.g., hashtag challenges, influencer partnerships, contests) to drive engagement and grow the follower base.
• Compile weekly and monthly reports analyzing performance metrics like engagement rate, conversion rate, and audience growth.
• Use data to continuously optimize content and platform strategies for maximum impact.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Media, Communication, Journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience managing social media platforms with high follower in Nigeria or the African market is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Meta Ads and platform-specific algorithms.
• Proficiency in content tools: Canva, Photoshop, and video editing tools like CapCut or Adobe Premiere.
• Competent in analytics tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Hootsuite, NapoleonCat.
• Have KOL cooperation resources.
