Job Description:

About the Job: The Hydrologist will be responsible for Assessment of Ground Water, Surface water, modeling for purposes of Designs for Water and Sanitation Projects.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out hydro-geological, geo-technical, seismological and geophysical surveys on water projects.
• Mapping, monitoring and evaluating groundwater.
• Coordinating and administering hydro geological functions.
• Formulating and reviewing policies on hydro geology.
• Developing, implementing and realizing the division’s strategic plans and objectives.
• Collecting data on hydro-geological, geo-technical and geophysical surveys on water projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Hydrology, Geosciences or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the Geological Society of Kenya.
• Member of Geological Board of Kenya.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
