About the Job
The job holder will be responsible for updating and maintaining our financial database and records, performing regular audits and account reconciliations, providing customer support, Process bills, checks, receipts and other documents. Ensure all documents are properly signed and distributed. Verify financial and other data (e.g. tax identification numbers) Monitor financial transactions. Enter data and maintain updated records. Assist with account reconciliations. (Male candidates are encouraged to apply. Available immediately.)
Responsibilities
- Update and maintain our financial database and records
- Perform regular audits and account reconciliations
- Provide customer support
- Process bills, checks, receipts and other documents.
- Ensure all documents are properly signed and distributed.
- Verify financial and other data (e.g. tax identification numbers)
- Monitor financial transactions.
- Enter data and maintain updated records.
- Assist with account reconciliations.
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies for various departments.
- Book keeping and general accounting.
- Arranging and posting vouchers
- Updating cheque lists.
- Claiming VAT inputs and filing of documents
- Liaising with different departments and clients to ensure proper flow of information regarding the accounts.
- Posting and offsetting of payments in the system.
- Verifying claims and processing orders and deposit slips in a timely manner.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management from time to time.
Requirements
- Must have a degree in Accounting , finance or relevant field from a reputable institution.
- Should have a minimum of strictly 1 -2 years experience in a similar role .
- Must have a good understanding of general accounting ,Knowledge on tax invoice and how to generate it .
- Posses ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Posses ability to work in an extremely high-pressure and high accountability environment.
- Must have the Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- Must have Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and Familiarity with finance regulations.
- Good math skills
- Organization skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
- Be proficient in Ms Excel
- Have Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g. Quick-books).
