Job Description:

About the Job: The primary purpose of a driver is to safely and efficiently transport Agency staff or goods and or water trucking from one location to another.

Responsibilities:

• Driving vehicles as authorized.
• Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments.
• Keeping up to date work tickets for vehicles.
• Recognizing and reporting mechanical defaults of the vehicles.
• Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments.
• Maintaining cleanliness of vehicles.
• Preparing and submitting reports on transport.
• Ensuring security and safety of passengers and vehicle on and off the road.
• Ensuring proper mechanical working condition of the vehicle.
• Ensuring adherence to or observations of traffic laws.
• Ensuring reporting of any incidents to police and/or the office immediately they occur.

Requirements:

• Cumulative service period of six (6) years’ work experience three (3) years should have been in the grade of Driver II or in a comparable position.
• Minimum KCSE D+ (Plus) or its equivalent.
• Occupational Trade Test I Certificate.
• Valid driving license category C and D free from any current endorsements.
• A defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association of Kenya (AA) or its equivalent qualification from any other recognized Institution.
• A First Aid Certificate Course from St. Johns Ambulance or any other recognized Institution not more than one (1) year old.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
