About the Job

The National Research Fund invites applications from qualified persons for the position of Principal Human Resource Management and Development Officer. This is a permanent and pensionable position.

Responsibilities

Interpreting, implementing and reviewing human resource and development policies, standards, regulations, procedures, strategies and programmes/work plans.
Designing of training and development programmes based on organization’s and individual needs.
Coordinating the development of human resource information system.
Developing, implementing and reviewing knowledge management framework.
Developing, implementing and reviewing compensation and benefits schemes.
Coordinating staff recruitment, selection and placement.
Undertaking human resource planning and succession management.
Managing the payroll.
Coordinating the preparation of agenda and minutes for the management human resource advisory committee.
Developing human resource management information systems.
Managing the leave system.
Monitoring performance management system.
Managing staff welfare.

Requirements

Cumulative service period of nine (9) years’ relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of a Senior Human Resource Management and Development Officer or a comparable position.
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Human Resource, Sociology, Public/Business Administration or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certified Human Resource Professional, CHRP (K) or its equivalent qualification from a recognised Institution.
Registered with the Institute of Human Resource Management.
Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer application skills.
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
