About the Job
This position involves supervising clinical staff, attending to patients, counseling, and coordinating clinical services in the university clinic.
Responsibilities
Supervising and guiding staff in the clinics.
Attending to patients, referring patients to the Organization’s Clinic.
Counselling patients in the primary health care activities.
Attending to patients needing further medical attention, where necessary.
Planning and organizing medical facilities.
Maintaining supportive staff records.
Implementing minor surgical and medical procedures.
Implementing clinical services plans and policies.
Coaching and mentoring staff.
Screening patients for diseases.
Validating practicing license from the Clinical Officers’ Council.
Ensuring accountability for human resources in work performance and results.
Requirements
Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Clinical Medicine and Community Health or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Served in the grade of Clinical Officer II, Grade AD 10 for a minimum period of three (3) years.
Be registered by the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
Valid Practicing License from the Clinical Officers Council.
Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.
Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
