About the Job

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre within the State Department for Lands and Physical Planning. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. 181

Responsibilities

Carrying out single beam echo sounding and sextant measurements. 182
Computing data for secondary ports approaches. 183
Conducting horizontal control surveys. 184
Undertaking coastal lining surveys, tidal zoning, tidal readings. 185
Measuring water temperature and salinity. 186

Requirements

Must have a Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Geomatics Engineering and Geospatial Information Systems, Hydrographic Survey or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya. 187
