About the Job
The Public Communications Officer II position is offered on a three-year contract. This role involves gathering information on existing programs and events, and liaising with media practitioners and the public.
Responsibilities
Gathering information on the existing programmes, significant events and the impact on customers.
Forwarding the information to the head of department for dissemination.
Liaising with media practitioners.
Liaising with the public on issues of mutual concern under the guidance of a senior officer.
Requirements
Possess a Bachelor degree in any of the following discipline: Journalism, Mass Communication, International Relations, Communication Studies, Public Relations and Social Sciences from a recognized institution.
Possess good oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
Proficient in computer application.
OR
Have a diploma in any of the following discipline: Journalism, Mass Communication, International Relations, Communication Studies, Public Relations or any other approved equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
Served as a Public Communications officer III for minimum of 3 years.
Possess good oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
Proficient in computer application.
