About the Job
The Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse (Degree Level) provides holistic and exceptional nursing care, administers medications, educates patients and families, and ensures compliance with infection prevention and control standards.
Responsibilities
Providing holistic care by carrying out risk identification and assessment of an Individual throughout the lifespan.
Assessing, formulating, planning and implementing evidence-based nursing care for Client/Patient.
Provide exceptional nursing care to Patients in accordance with Hospital Policies and Protocols.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by Physicians.
Monitor Patient progress and document observations accurately.
Educate Patients and families about Health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
Conducting Community Health Risk Assessment and providing outcome-based interventions.
Documenting interventions, nursing outcomes and report writing.
Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in Patient care areas.
Collaborate with other healthcare Professionals to ensure comprehensive Patient care.
Handle emergency situations promptly and effectively.
Ensure compliance with Infection Prevention and Control Standards.
Participate in continuous Professional Development and Training Sessions.
Contribute to the improvement of nursing care services through feedback and innovation.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (KRCHN) from a recognized Institution.
Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Valid Nursing Council of Kenya License.
At least 2 years of Clinical experience in a Hospital setting.
Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized Institution.
Experience in specialized areas such as Maternity, Pediatrics, or Critical care will be an added advantage.
