About the Job

To provide effective administrative, financial, and operational management of the rescue center, ensuring its smooth running, the wellbeing of the children, and optimal resource use. Responsibilities include financial stewardship, procurement, facilities management, staff coordination, and supporting child welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Operations and Welfare Oversight: Supervise daily running, ensure children’s basic needs are met, support compliance with child protection standards.
  • Staff Coordination: Oversee employees, support HR functions, provide guidance and supervision.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Prepare annual budget, monitor spending, identify cost-saving strategies, maintain financial records, prepare reports.
  • Donations Tracking and Transparency: Track donations, maintain records, provide donor reports, develop donor accountability systems.
  • Procurement and Resource Management: Manage requisition process, maintain inventory, handle account payables, manage petty cash, book guest accommodation.
  • Maintenance and Development: Oversee facility maintenance, plan and coordinate development projects, liaise with contractors and suppliers.
  • Administrative Oversight: Maintain proper documentation, support compliance with regulations, assist in organizing audits.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work with staff and board, represent the center with authorities and service providers.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in financial administration, preferably in a nonprofit, NGO, or social service setting.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, procurement, and donor accountability practices.
  • Proven experience in managing petty cash, requisitions, and account payables.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting tools and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Excel).

  • Desirable Attributes: Experience in a children’s home/nonprofit; Understanding of child protection principles; Practicing Christian or shares values of compassion, stewardship, service; Applicants should be 35 years old and above.
