About the Job
This role at Equity Bank involves managing insurance claims for all classes of business from start to finish, serving customers and branches.
Responsibilities
Receive claim notifications and advise on requirements.
Confirmation of cover existence and details.
Ensuring immediate notification of claims to underwriters.
Guiding on required documents and the claim process.
Receiving, scrutinizing, and forwarding claim documents to insurers.
Capture and maintain claim records.
Continuous follow-up with service providers and underwriters.
Disseminating information between underwriters and branches.
Offering support to internal clients.
Engaging walk-in claim clients and providing solutions.
Continuous review with insurers for SLA adherence.
Timely response to customer and Branch enquiries.
Take part in vetting terms for product completeness and pricing.
Review legal related claims in liaison with insurers.
Managing physical total loss documents and submission to insurers.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance or a Business-related degree, Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Insurance, 1 Year experience in underwriting and claims, strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in banking and insurance, sales experience (added advantage).
